At Alpha Healing Center, we recognize that our guests often have complex mental health and addiction-related problems, and offer specialized approaches that target mental health and substance abuse issues simultaneously.
We offer specialized treatment tracks for people with history of trauma or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), co-occurring psychiatric disorders, young adults with behavioral and family issues and those with borderline personality problems.
Seeking Safety is a present-focused therapy to help people attain safety from trauma/PTSD and substance abuse.
Family Behavior Therapy (FBT)
FBT has demonstrated positive results in both adults and adolescents and addresses not only substance use problems but other co-occurring problems as well, such as conduct disorders, depression, family conflict, and unemployment.
Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT)
IDDT are treatments for people who suffer from co-occurring disorders – mental illness such a depression, bipolar disorder and substance abuse. To recover fully, a guest with co-occurring disorder needs treatment for both problems – focusing on one does not ensure the other will go away. Dual diagnosis services integrate assistance for each condition, helping people recover from both in one setting, at the same time.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT is specifically designed to reduce selfharming behaviors in individuals with substance abuse and impulse control problems. It is particularly effective in persons with borderline personality disorder. DBT emphasizes balancing behavioral change, problem-solving, and emotional regulation with validation, mindfulness, and acceptance of patience.
Multi-systemic Therapy (MST)
MST addresses the factors associated with antisocial behavior in young adults who abuse alcohol and other drugs. By participating in intensive treatment in natural environments most youths and families can address peer pressure, pro-drug attitudes, disciplinary issues and behaviors.
Individualized & Group Therapy
Many of our guests have histories of emotional, physical and sexual trauma. The associated feelings of self-blame and shame have profound impact on the psychological well-being of the individual. Traumatized individuals struggle to establish trusting relationships in their future. The therapy explores conflicted emotions surrounding the trauma, recognizing the role of trauma in shaping addictive behaviors and developing healthy, mature relationships.
